Money and plans
Is Trakys free?
Yes. Every module is free — no ads, no trial that expires, no feature moved behind a paywall. You create an account and use the whole workspace.
Paying is optional. There is a Team plan for larger team workspaces, a storage add-on, and a way to support the project with a one-time contribution — none of it gates anything you use today.
What do the paid options actually give?
Team ($20/month) lifts a team workspace's member cap (free teams hold up to 10 people) and raises its file storage from 5 GB to 50 GB. The storage add-on ($5/month) adds 100 GB on top of either.
Teams that were already bigger than 10 members before the cap existed keep every member — only further growth asks for the plan.
Billing lives in the profile menu, runs through Stripe, and cancelling keeps the plan active until the period ends.
Is there a limit on projects, tasks or wallets?
No quota is enforced on the things you create. The only counted limits are team workspace members and file storage (see above); projects, tasks, wallets and entries are not metered.
Can I support the project without needing anything back?
Yes — Support the project in the profile menu takes a one-time contribution of any amount. It buys nothing: the account is identical either way. If you want, your name and a short message appear on the public Supporters page, in strictly chronological order — the amount never affects the position.
Platforms
Is there a mobile app?
A native iOS and Android app is in development, planned for September 2026 — a real app with offline notes, not a wrapped website. Progress will be posted on the blog.
Until then, Trakys installs to your phone's home screen as a PWA — its own icon, its own window, no app store and no update to download. The layout adapts down to phone widths, with a bottom tab bar for the everyday modules.
Does it work offline?
No. The service worker is there for installability, not for offline editing — Trakys needs a connection to load and to save.
Which browsers?
Any current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. The interface leans on modern CSS, so a browser several years out of date will look wrong even where it works.
Teams
Can I use it with a team?
Yes. Create a workspace, invite people by email, and switch between your personal space and each team from the sidebar. Switching changes the whole app, not just a filter.
What roles are there?
Owner, admin and member. Three, deliberately — an invite can grant admin or member, and owner is never handed out through one.
Will my team see my personal things?
No. Each workspace chooses which modules it runs; a new team starts with projects, tasks, time, money and companies. Sleep, endurance and everything else stay in your personal space and are not visible to a team you invite people into.
Can I share a single project without a whole workspace?
Yes — projects can be shared with a friend as viewer or editor, and time tracking honours the grant. It is the lighter option when a workspace is more structure than the situation needs.
Money and time
Does it handle more than one currency?
Yes. Each wallet has its own currency and amounts are stored as exact decimals in it, so nothing drifts through rounding. Totals across wallets are converted to your base currency using daily rates.
If a rate lookup fails, the last good rates are used rather than breaking the page, and an unknown currency code converts one-to-one instead of throwing.
Can I bill by the hour?
A project can carry an hourly rate, and every time entry snapshots that rate at the moment you tracked it. Changing the rate later therefore never rewrites what past work was worth.
Trakys also generates PDF invoices from Money: pick a client and the billing block prefills from the last invoice you sent them, and every generated PDF stays available for re-download. Sending the invoice to the client is still up to you.
Can I run more than one timer?
Yes, several at once. There is also a week calendar you can drag entries onto, and drag the edges of, when you are filling in a day after the fact.
Your data
Can I import my data from another tool?
One import exists: drop a PDF bank statement into Money, review and edit the parsed rows, and commit them in one go — every import is kept in history.
A general importer from other task or time trackers is not built yet. It is on the list; saying so is better than shipping an importer that silently mangles half a year of history.
Can I get my data back out?
You can request a copy or a deletion at any time by email, and we act on it. There is no self-service export button in the interface yet.
Who runs Trakys, and where does my data live?
Trakys is developed by Mark Semikhov, a member of ProjectM Team, and operated from the EU. What is collected, why, and how to have it removed is set out in the Privacy Policy; the operating entity is named in full on the Ownership page.
How are my passwords stored?
Only as salted hashes, using a deliberately slow algorithm. Your session lives in an httpOnly cookie, which means no token is ever readable by page JavaScript.
